Player Achievement – Matilda Hall

Empire Rugby Academy is proud to celebrate the success of Matilda Hall.

Matilda, a former Dubai Warriors player, has taken her game to the next level since joining the academy. Through dedicated training sessions, gym work, and performance support, she prepared for her next chapter at Loughborough College in the UK.

This summer, Matilda also made history as the first Empire Rugby Academy player to represent HammerHead 7s in the UK.

In her own words:

“The academy has helped me learn different aspects of the game which I’m going to be needing in preparation for Loughborough College. I really enjoyed all the varied training on the pitch and in the gym which helped my performance throughout the term. Being in this academy helped give me the opportunity to play with HammerHead 7s this summer, allowing me to experience 7s at a higher level in the UK.”

Matilda’s journey reflects what Empire Rugby Academy is all about, providing opportunities, building confidence, and creating pathways for ambitious female players.

We are delighted to announce and celebrate that Tilly has also recently been selected for the U18 England Rugby Player Development Programme.
